Social Media Strategist

The Zimmerman Agency, Tallahassee, Florida based Omnicom agency, provides a highly integrated platform of marketing communications services and boasts an outstanding portfolio of clients. As we continue to grow our social media services, we’re seeking an experienced, driven, and creative Social Media Strategist to join our talented team in our Tallahassee, Florida headquarters.

About the Role:

This is a client-facing position, serving as the day-to-day contact for clients and internal departments. You’ll be responsible for building and executing innovative social media strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and measurable business results for our clients. You’ll collaborate across disciplines, manage campaign execution, and act as a trusted advisor to our clients.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies tailored to each client’s goals and audience
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert counsel and regular updates
  • Plan, create, schedule, and publish content across key social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
  • Monitor social trends, audience insights, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities
  • Lead and manage paid social campaigns, optimizing for performance
  • Analyze and report on campaign effectiveness, delivering actionable insights to clients
  • Work closely with creative, account, and media teams to ensure integrated marketing efforts
  • Proactively offer new ideas, emerging tools, and platform updates to elevate client programs
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines with exceptional organization and attention to detail

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in a social media strategist or similar role, preferably in an agency setting
  • Demonstrated success creating and executing social media campaigns for a range of clients/brands
  • Deep understanding of all major social platforms, algorithms, and best practices
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with a knack for storytelling
  • Track record of building excellent client relationships and providing exceptional service
  • Experience with paid social, social listening, analytics, and reporting tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics)
  • Ability to translate data into actionable strategies and recommendations
